Important information about UDI's information services

The UDI Information Service is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - the Information Service is closed on Wednesdays

A tighter budget and a high number of unprocessed cases mean that UDI still needs to set aside more time and capacity for case processing. The UDI Information Service's chat and telephone lines will therefore still be closed on Wednesdays.

The Information Service's normal opening hours are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • The Information Service is closed on Wednesdays.

As the Information Service is closed on Wednesdays, we expect increased traffic on our lines on the days we are open. You may therefore occasionally experience long queues when you try to contact us.

Udi.no as the main channel for information

Many people contact the Information Service with questions about when they will receive an answer to their application.

If you have questions about when you will receive a response to your application, we ask that you read the information at udi.no/waitingtime (external website). UDI's Information Service cannot give you any other information about waiting times than what you find on our website.

We are also working on updating "Frequently asked questions" for the various case types, and recommend you to check whether you can find an answer to your question there before contacting us.

If you want information about the booking of appointments and waiting times at the police, we ask that you read the information on the police's own website (external website). Unfortunately, we cannot answer questions about this.
