EU/EEA citizens
As an EU/EEU citizen or close family member of an EU/EEA citizen, you do not have to pay a fee when you move to Norway.
It is free of charge to use the registration scheme for EU/EEA nationals. It is free of charge to apply for residence card as a family member of an EU/EEA citizen, and it is free of charge to apply for permanent residence in Norway if you have been here for minimum five years.
