People from red countries/areas with a low infection rate

People travelling to Norway from red countries in the EU/EEA/Schengen Area or the United Kingdom with a low infection rate do not have to stay in a quarantine hotel when entering Norway. However, you must still complete the travel quarantine at home or in another suitable accommodation.

Please note that there are still strict entry rules to Norway, and you cannot travel to Norway unless one of the exceptions applies to you.

If this applies to you, it means that you cannot use this scheme to apply for an exemption from quarantine hotels in advance.

Persons travelling from countries outside of the EU/EEA or Schengen area
If you have stayed outside of the EU/EEA or Schengen area during the last ten days, the main rule is that you must stay in a quarantine hotel. You must stay there until you have a negative coronavirus test result. The test cannot be taken earlier than three days after entry. You can read more here (external website).
