Sponsor for visitors

When you are going to visit Norway, you must show that you have enough money to finance your stay here and for the return journey.

You must be able to document that you have at least NOK 500 per day during your stay in Norway and the Schengen area. If you do not have enough money yourself, you must have a financial guarantee from the person or company you are visiting.

This sponsor will have to provide a sponsorship form that is either digital or on paper. If your sponsor uses a digital form, the person or company must send you the four-word sponsorship code. You need this code when you apply for a visitor visa. Therefore, have this code ready when you start your application. If your sponsor is using a paper form (for example, because you are visa-free), your sponsor must send you a completed and signed form. Remember to take this form with you when you travel.

A sponsorship form is valid for 6 months after it has been filled out and signed.
