Seafarers with special travel documents


  • Identity cards for seafarers issued by Algeria, Albania, Angola, Azerbaijan, Belize, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, Fiji, Ghana, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Belarus, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Jordan, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Madagascar, Morocco, Moldova, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Türkiye, Tunis, Ukraine or Vanuatu, when he or she is to take up or leave a position on a ship in a Norwegian harbour, or is a member of a ship’s crew and wishes to visit the harbour in which the ship is docked during shore leave
  • The Philippine 'Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book' or ordinary Philippine passport (when the person is to sign on or off a ship in a Norwegian harbour)
  • Travel documents for refugee seamen issued by: Australia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Morocco, Mauritius, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, the UK, Switzerland, Sweden or Germany.
