My asylum seeker card has expired or will expire soon. What should I do?

You must renew your asylum seeker card every 6 months while you are waiting for your application for asylum to be decided.

If you are staying at an asylum reception centre:

Ask the centre to send a request for a new asylum seeker card to the National Police Immigration Service (PU) on your behalf.

If you are staying at a private address:

Contact your local police station. The police will send a request for a new asylum seeker card to PU on your behalf.
