Collective protection status to be extended for one year
The Government has decided to continue providing temporary collective protection for refugees from Ukraine. As such, if you have already been granted a permit in connection with temporary collective protection then your permit will be extended by one year automatically. Most people receive a letter in the mail before the former residence permit expires. You do not have to do anything else to extend your permit.
Ukrainians who have applied for collective protection in Norway and have been issued a Norwegian identification number can order an electronic ID for access to digital services from Norwegian public authorities, such as health and welfare services, access to a digital mailbox and more. You can find further information about electronic IDs and how to order yours at norge.no. (external website).
