You can chat with someone in our Information Service to ask questions about permanent residency. Outside the Information Service's opening hours, you can send us an e-mail by filling in our contact form.

Important information before contacting us

It is the same employees who answer chat, telephone and e-mail and who process applications for permanent residence.

You will find a great deal of information at udi.no, so always check if you can find answers to your questions here first. If you cannot find an answer to your question, you may contact us.

If your enquiry concerns the waiting time for processing your application, we encourage you to read the information on waiting time that you can find at udi.no/waitingtime. We update every month which cases we are currently processing. You therefore do not need to contact us by phone, e-mail or chat if the enquiry concerns the waiting time for processing your application.

The chat is currently closed. Our case officers are available to answer your questions about permanent residency by chat Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m..
