The transition period for Brexit expired 31 December 2021
The transition period for applying for residence in accordance with the Brexit regulations expired 31 December 2021. Suppose you are a UK national or a family member of a UK national and would like to settle in Norway. In that case, you should apply for a residence permit in accordance with ordinary regulations.
If there are particular reasons why you did not apply for a residence permit in accordance with the Brexit regulations before 31 December 2021, it is possible to apply now. If you are applying now, you must explain why you did not apply before the deadline. UDI will then consider whether we will process the case or not based on your explanation.
