Temporary changes in Norway's visa facilitation agreement with Russia
From 19 March 2022, Norway will withdraw some simplified procedures for visa permits for a specific group of Russian citizens.
The changes apply to the following groups:
- Russian diplomats
- people in business
- representatives of business organizations
- members of national and regional governments
- members of legislative assemblies
- official delegations
The following procedure is removed for the groups listed above:
- easing of the documentation requirements
- Issuance of multiple-entry visas
- Fee exemption or reduced application fee
- Reduced case processing time
- visa-free when holding a diplomatic passport
Please note that this does not apply to private individuals applying for a visitor visa to Norway.
